President’s Message for December 2009

Happy Holidays All!

We are having great weather to welcome in the holidays!  I hope it will allow you to do all that you want to do for the month with your family and friends.

W had a wonderful meeting in November and we were delighted to have Judy Zahren, the Executive Director of MRSPA with us to let us know what is happening on a state-wide level.  They work hard to maintain your benefits and to be able to offer you more each year.  Be sure to visit on www.MRSPA.org to see all that is there.  Please visit and get familiar with your Association.

We were also most pleased to welcome fellow member, and Maryland Delegate, Joanne Benson to the meeting.  She had much to share and we are always glad to have her stop in to be with us.  This year will be a most interesting legislative session.  Be ready to get informed and involved.  Our Legislative Chair, Jannette Wundrow is planning our trip to Annapolis in March.  I hope that we will have a large presence for the day.

Plan to attend the January meeting at PGCEA Center.  We will, again, have the boxed lunches that are well received.  Our guest speaker will be Dr. Hite, who will be able to let us know how he thinks things are going in the Prince George’s County schools.  You don’t want to miss it!
